Hi. I’m David Woodward and I am the writer of the Matt Dowling series of books and a number of other books and short stories in other genres.
Why the picture of the Storey Bridge in Brisbane? Well, whereas a lot of the first book in the Matt Dowling series took place in Florence, the second book, The Powder Room, is set in and around Brisbane in Queensland, Australia. The Storey Bridge is regarded as an icon of that city, and one I have travelled across on numerous occasions. It therefore seemed appropriate to use that as the masthead for the web site. I loved Brisbane and thoroughly enjoyed travelling up the Sunshine Coast, visiting those places that Matt encounters on his investigations. I look forward to visiting again sometime in the near future when my son and daughter-in-law go back there for the next chapter in their lives.
On this website you will be able to find information about all of my books, my short stories and a little bit about me. You will also be able to comment on what you have read via the contact page. I hope you will give your comments on my books and I am sure those comments will only be of a constructive nature.
